What the tale is about
Dabi, a shy little frog, feels embarrassed whenever he speaks in class or meets someone new, so he hides and avoids the color red. He eagerly waits in the garden with daisies to meet his grandfather for the first time, but Grandpa does not arrive until the third day. Caught unprepared, Dabi turns red again and hides beneath his blanket. His loving grandfather welcomes him warmly and explains that his own cheeks turn red when he is happy, reminding Dabi that there is no need to hide. Dabi learns to accept himself, hugs Grandpa, and happily gathers red flowers.
