What the tale is about
In a village swept by afternoon winds, a powerful windmill spins quickly while everyone admires it. Believing itself to be the greatest, the windmill mocks a tiny pinwheel in the neighboring garden and makes it lose the wish to spin. The pinwheel’s gentle friend, Yel, encourages it to turn again, delighting the children. Jealous of their attention, the windmill spins too fast, and sparks set it on fire. The pinwheel and Yel bring rain to save it, helping the windmill understand that true greatness comes not from a huge body, but from a huge heart.
