What the tale is about

Little Raccoon is heartbroken when he learns that his friend Bouncy Squirrel has died in an accident, and he wishes they could play together again. Mama Raccoon gently listens and helps him remember the happy moments they shared. At Butterfly Pond, Little Raccoon tells funny and loving stories about his friend, then discovers that the acorns Bouncy Squirrel buried have grown into young oak trees. He takes one acorn home as a treasured memory and promises never to forget his friend. The story gently explores grief, remembrance, prayer, charity, and doing good for those who have died.
