What the tale is about
On a cool summer night, Murat visits his grandmother in the village with his parents and gazes at the stars while thinking about the universe. Curious about angels, he asks his father why they cannot see them and learns that angels can see people, protect good people, and keep them from being alone. His grandmother explains that angels accompany snowflakes on their journey to Earth. Through a poem and his family’s gentle explanations, Murat discovers that people who obey Allah, pray, fast, and help others are friends of the angels. He begins learning prayers and ends the night with a bedtime dua.
