What the tale is about
Ebu Masüre is a playful child who gathers other children to imitate the muezzin and joke about the call to prayer. One day, the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) finds him doing this and responds without anger or public embarrassment. He praises Masüre’s voice, invites him to recite the call in the mosque, and patiently corrects his mistakes. Touched by this kindness, Masüre decides to practice seriously rather than mock the call. With permission, he eventually becomes the mosque’s muezzin and serves faithfully for many years. The story celebrates gentle guidance, forgiveness, and choosing to make amends.
