What the tale is about
Spring has arrived, and the village is preparing for its annual festival. Clever, hardworking Keloglan wakes early, says Bismillah, and sets off before his mother is awake. Near the village square, he discovers thick smoke and burning festival cauldrons. He warns the villagers, carries water, and prays to Allah while everyone works together. Gentle rain finally helps put out the flames, and the villagers learn that carelessness caused the fire and that fire must be treated carefully. After thanking Allah, they enjoy the festival, while Keloglan is praised for his alertness, courage, and helpful spirit.
