What the tale is about
After coming home from school, Betül sees her family tearfully watching news about Palestinian refugees living in difficult conditions in Gaza camps. Her grandfather decides to send part of his pension, her mother reduces household expenses, and her grandmother begins knitting sweaters to raise money for those in need. Betül wants to help too, but struggles with the thought of giving away her beloved animal toys. With her grandmother’s guidance, she learns that goodness means sharing what she loves without becoming stingy or giving away everything. Drawing lots, she keeps three toys and sends the others to children who need them, discovering the joy of helping and the beauty of Al-Barr.
