What the tale is about
Among the bushes near a swamp, a greedy snake goes hunting for more frogs even though his belly is already full. The frogs escape and call out for help, and their commotion catches the attention of a hungry hawk, turning the snake into an easy meal. In a forest, a fox who loves stealing chickens makes an oath never to eat them again if his terrible stomachache disappears. Later he breaks that oath and suffers another painful lesson. Together, the two tales encourage children to avoid greed and think carefully before making unnecessary oaths.
