What the tale is about
Along the shore of Gaza, children long to play, but smoky skies, fear, and hunger interrupt their days. They wonder whether light might one day arrive from the sea. Then white-sailed ships appear: the Hope Flotilla, carrying teddy bears, books, flour, food, and baby formula instead of weapons. People from around the world join the journey through prayers, compassion, and support. Dark winds, towering waves, and chains try to block the ships, but their brave, merciful captains continue onward. The children first receive a message saying, “You have not been forgotten,” and later welcome the ships, receiving food, toys, and books. Their play and dreams begin to bloom again, showing how hope and solidarity can endure even in the hardest times.
