What the tale is about
After beginning with a prayer about Allah’s mercy as Ar-Rahman, Ali, Ayşe, and Amine tidy their toys and join their mother, Fatma, for reading time. An old Qur’an on a high shelf sparks their curiosity. Fatma explains that it belonged to her late grandfather Osman, who loved the Qur’an, taught children to read it and understand its messages, and gave copies to those around him. The children learn about Caliph Uthman’s gentle manners, generosity, memorization of the Qur’an, and role in sharing its written copies, then resolve to learn, live by its messages, and help others.
