What the tale is about

Zeynep’s Ramadan Diary begins as four-and-a-half-year-old Zeynep watches her family’s unusual routines with growing curiosity: no one eats or drinks during the day, everyone waits for iftar, and prayers fill the home. She imagines Ramadan, fasting, the Night of Power, Arafah, and Eid as real people, leading to funny misunderstandings. When her university-aged brother Salih comes home for Eid, he explains everything. In the second tale, a child raised abroad travels to Türkiye and joins a first Tarawih prayer with a grandfather, discovering the call to prayer, mosque fellowship, Ramadan drummers, and Eid joy. Together, the stories celebrate curiosity, family love, and shared faith.
